Myofascial Structural Rebalancing
Fascia is the tissue that surrounds and connects all the structures in the body. Myofascial Structural rebalancing is a soft tissue therapy for the treatment of skeletal muscle immobility and pain. This alternative medicine therapy aims to relax contracted muscles, improve blood and lymphatic circulation, and stimulate the stretch reflex in muscles.
Fascia is a thin, tough, elastic type of connective tissue that wraps most structures within the human body, including muscle. Fascia supports and protects these structures. Osteopathic theory proposes that this soft tissue can become restricted due topsychogenic disease, overuse, trauma, infectious agents, or inactivity, often resulting in pain, muscle tension, and corresponding diminished blood flow. Although fascia and its corresponding muscle are the main targets of myofascial release, other tissue may be addressed as well, including other connective tissue.
The treatment is based over 3 sessions:
-
Anterior/ Front of the Body
-
Posterior / Back of the Body
-
Lateral / Side of the body

A course of treatment is taken over a course of a few weeks with approximately no more than a week between Treatments.
This treatment can be very nice if you want to try a different type of massage, if you feel you want something slightly more from your massage and give it a little kick start in your treatment. Each treatment is approximately 90 minutes long.
